Update: Jackson Miller’s pro-gun violence votes and others

Voted to arm school “security” personnel. Voted to override veto of requirement for photo ID to apply for absentee ballots which makes absolutely no sense in addition to usual GOP attempts to restricting access for voters who would be likely Democratic voters. Voted to remove some requirements for out-of-state concealed handgun permits. Stay tuned and I will keep you updated. And I just want to mention the artificial toll debate…

Hal Pal is now trying to garner support is making claims that are untrue regarding the proposed Virginia of Transportation of Toll Lanes for route 66. This is a manufactured controversy in an effort to get votes, the facts be damned. Even Hal Pal’s GOP cronies at least have some of the facts correct. It’s not just inside the beltway. The toll would be calculated based on commuting between Haymarket…

https://k12.niche.com/d/manassas-city-public-schools-va/ Manassas get’s a “C” thanks to Hal Pal. He loves to spout how he supports education but then why does the Manassas City Public School system earn just a “C” and out of the 131 school districts in Virginia, Manassas ranks 96th in this survey. Hal Pal is probably thinking of his affluent friends rather than those students who struggle as his definition of success. But those striving folks…

After interviewing and investigating the Virginia Senate candidates for the 29th district, the Washington Post has endorsed Jeremy McPike. The endorsement is in light of Hal Pal’s “rigid” positions on guns, Medicaid expansion and other issues. What’s lovely is that the Post acknowledged Hal Pal’s “soft-spoken geniality” and “darling of the National Rifle Association.” So true. His campaign has been financially backed largely by the NRA and other extreme right…

Check out today’s WAPO Metro section article “Eyes are on 2 races for Va Senate” where the 29th District is featured. Hal Pal and Jeremy were interviewed for the article. Hal Pal had the nerve to say that would have voted as his father did in favor of a $1.6 billion dollar tax INCREASE back when his dad was a Delegate. Hal’s dad, Harry, actually did partner with Gov. Mark…

Thanks to Donald Shuemaker, we have an inclusive list of Bob’s failure to attend and vote in the General Assembly. And he wants another term? He’s gotta go. I just don’t understand why anyone would vote for him. Nothing he introduces ever gets out of committee because of his radical positions and anti-woman agenda. He’s an embarrassment. Don Shaw is someone who will represent everyone in Richmond. Oh, please vote…

Yes it’s true. One of our eagle-eyed colleagues spotted one of McQuigg’s signs on county property behind the Courthouse. I guess the law doesn’t apply to McQuigg. But’s that’s pretty much the GOP in a nutshell. And that’s why we need an honest, hardworking and intelligent Clerk of The Court: Jacqueline Smith, Esquire. It seems only proper that an attorney should be handling this office. As someone who practices in…

If there was any doubt about Hal Pal’s war on women, please note that Republican Virginia State Senator Mark Obenshain has added his active support to Hal Pal’s campaign via Twitter. This is dangerous because Obenshain had big plans for any woman who had a miscarriage: If not reported to the police within 24 hours, she could be charged with a Class I misdemeanor. Here’s the take from Wikipedia which…

The ex-cop/real estate agent Jackson Miller is pro-gun violence. He is opposed and has voted as such for any kind of background checks, restrictions on gun purchases and open records for concealed gun carriers. And here’s the clincher: He voted in favor of voting gun ownership to felons. But in another piece of irony, he voted against restoration of voting rights to felons who serve their sentences. Jackson Miller is…
