Our 2025 Elections

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Manassas and Manassas Park voters elected a governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state delegate from House District 20, and a commissioner of the revenue and a treasurer for each city. In addition, Manassas Park held a special election to fill one seat on its Governing Body for a partial term.

A state-run Democratic primary election was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 to decide all contested Democratic nominations; namely, a six-way statewide contest for lieutenant governor and a two-way statewide contest for attorney general. Early voting in that primary began on May 2. State Senator Ghazala Hashimi won the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor, and former Delegate Jay Jones won the Democratic nomination for attorney general.

Similarly, Kevin Moreau was our Democratic nominee to fill an unexpired term on the Manassas Park City Council in a Special Election that was also held on November 4, 2025.

The Manassas & Manassas Park Democrats staffed voter outreach tables at several community events in the spring, summer, and fall of 2025, to spread the word about our local Committee and our Democratic candidates and to promote voter registration and early voting for the General Election. 

Saturday, May 17: Equality Prince William Pride Festival at the Harris Pavilion in Old Town Manassas, 12 noon – 4:00 pm.

Saturday, May 24: Outreach at the Manassas Park Farmers Market outside Manassas Park City Hall, 10 am – 3 pm.

Saturday, August 2:   Manassas African American Heritage Festival, 11:00 am-6:00 pm, Metz Middle School, 9950 Wellington Rd, Manassas.

Tuesday, August 5:  Manassas Park’s National Night Out (NNO) event at Signal Hill Park, 9300 Signal View Dr, 5:00-8:00 pm.

Sunday, September 7: Manassas Park Latino Fest in Costello Park, 99 Adams St, 1 pm-7 pm.

Saturday, September 27: Manassas Latino Festival at the Harris Pavilion in Old Town Manassas, 11:00 am-6 pm.
