I hope that we will be seeing our candidates (or their representatives) along with members and new faces at our next meeting. We really need as many participants as possible to get our Democratic candidates elected.
The New York Times is reporting that Judge Banning released Kim Davis from jail if and only if she does not interfere with issuing marriage licenses. If the folks in Rowan County want to pay Davis $80K per year for not doing her job, so be it. Just so she does not inflict her religious point of view on others.
Apparently Davis’ attorney has compared Davis’ plight to the persecution of the Jews during World War II. Really? The attorney has hit backwards. Davis is the government and by way of not issuing marriage licenses because of her religious beliefs, she is persecuting gays and lesbians. I wish she would just go away. Oh, please go away.
