A message from outgoing MMPCDC Chair EJ Scott on January 15:<\/p>\n
Dear Friends,<\/span><\/p>\n It is with great sadness that I send this letter. We have lost two great public servants who were incredible human beings and friends. <\/span><\/p>\n Yesterday, Maxine Coleman passed.\u00a0 Max has served on the Manassas Park Electoral Board for the past 8 years and a longtime member of the Board of Project Mend-A-House. \u00a0She was also an active member of the Manassas and Manassas Park Cities Democratic Committee.\u00a0 Max\u2019s death was sudden and unexpected so the family is in some shock.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n This morning, Peggy Tyree-Wells passed.\u00a0 Peggy served as the longtime Aide to Senator Chuck Colgan. Peggy held that public position for over twenty years, so she was well known and loved by many. After a long battle, she went to home to receive the peace she so richly deserves. <\/span><\/p>\n My heart is heavy with the loss of these great ladies. They were mothers, daughters and friends and will be missed.\u00a0 I am forever grateful to have known them and call them friend.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I will provide service information soon. Please say a prayer for their families as they adjust to their new lives without someone they held so dear. <\/span><\/p>\n =====<\/p>\n January 18th Update:<\/strong><\/p>\n The arrangements for our beloved Peggy Tyree-Wells have been set for this Thursday, January 21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Viewing will take place from 11 am to 12 noon. Services will begin at Noon<\/strong>.
