{"id":2350,"date":"2017-01-31T10:20:30","date_gmt":"2017-01-31T15:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1gf.f8a.myftpupload.com\/?p=2350"},"modified":"2017-01-31T10:21:04","modified_gmt":"2017-01-31T15:21:04","slug":"a-confederacy-of-losers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/manassascitydemocrats.org\/?p=2350","title":{"rendered":"A Confederacy of Losers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What do Trump and his White House crowd have in common?\u00a0 They are all losers.\u00a0 And that is why Bannon is so dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s start with Reince Priebus.\u00a0 Wisconsin lawyer, he has been immersed in GOP politics since returning from University of Miami Law School in 1998 after graduation.\u00a0 He joined a law firm and subsequently ran for Wisconsin State Senate in 2004.\u00a0 He lost to the incumbent Democrat.\u00a0 As an unsuccessful candidate, he began his climb in the GOP hierarchy running the organization.\u00a0 He\u2019s been the Wisconsin party chairman and Chairman of the national GOP but never achieved his own electoral success.\u00a0 His success has been sublimated through Trump.\u00a0 On his own, however, he\u2019s a loser.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Miller is a political operative.\u00a0 He was Jeff Sessions\u2019 communication director and developed \u201cnation-state populism\u201d with Sessions which is the basis of Trump\u2019s anti-global views.\u00a0 \u00a0Steve Miller has never accomplished anything other than defeating Democrats. \u00a0Political operative: \u00a0Loser who can&#8217;t function outside of government.<\/p>\n<p>Another political operative, Kellyanne Conway, is a loser in the sense that she has managed to reject every position that she ever supported, such as Ted Cruz.\u00a0 More than a loser, she is untrustworthy.\u00a0 This former talk-show regular claimed that she had to spend more time with her children and then promptly assumed her current position in the White House.\u00a0 Glib and sarcastic (with alternative facts), she wears thin and is a smiley face as long as the agenda is hers.<\/p>\n<p>Jared Kushner:\u00a0 But he\u2019s just Trump\u2019s son-in-law.\u00a0 Retribution, however, is high on his list as well.\u00a0 Chris Christie successfully prosecuted Charles Kushner, Jared\u2019s dad, for income tax evasion, illegal campaign contributions, \u00a0witness tampering and more leading to a plea agreement, a felony conviction, 14 months in a Federal prison plus fines.\u00a0 So what\u2019s Jared motivation?\u00a0 Retribution for dad\u2019s fall.\u00a0 In this scenario, Charles Kushner is the loser.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Spicer has a very difficult job.\u00a0 As GOP Communications Director, he was basically responsible for a communications strategy and eventually became a chief strategist for the party.\u00a0 He has really never held a job in the private sector and has always been a government employee. His job is difficult because he must on a daily basis respond in support of the Trump lies.\u00a0 It must be exhausting.\u00a0 Although other journalists have characterized him in a positive light in the past, his reputation has been diminished by some of the absolutely incomprehensible statements he has made which is a losing strategy but sort of his form of retribution.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Sessions:\u00a0 How can he be a loser?\u00a0 He\u2019s a Senator and he thinks he is about to be Attorney General of the U.S.\u00a0 But his rejection as a District Court Judge in 1986 left a sour taste in his mouth ever since.\u00a0 From Alabama, he has made it to Senator but with very little influence or power.\u00a0 Now with the AG in his sights, he can set the record straight and begin the task of retribution.<\/p>\n<p>Which brings me to Trump himself, definitely a bigger loser than Sessions.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a guy who was gifted by his Dad with $1 million dollars (at least) to start a company.\u00a0 This was not a \u201csmall business.\u201d\u00a0 He latched on to his father\u2019s coattails and made a lot of money but not much recognition.\u00a0 In fact, early on, he was mocked and disdained.\u00a0 Then he got into Hollywood and The Apprentice.\u00a0 But when he didn\u2019t win that coveted Emmy, it appalled him.\u00a0 He lost.\u00a0 When he won the electoral college but lost the popular vote, he couldn\u2019t stand it so he simply created his own set of facts accusing an illegal election process.\u00a0 Then when photos emerged revealing his crowd was sparse as compared to Obama\u2019s in 2009, he created another set of facts\u00a0 and demanded that the National Park Service to take down the photos.\u00a0 Too late.\u00a0 But he is a basic loser who will use the White House to shower retribution throughout.\u00a0 This is his weakness and, thus, he can be manipulated by the big winner:\u00a0 Bannon.\u00a0 (Omarosa, by the way, was right.)<\/p>\n<p>Bannon has evolved from his Democratic roots to a nearly fascist point-of-view.\u00a0 This has not happened because of any visceral belief that fascism is superior.\u00a0 Through careful machinations, he has landed in the world of conspiracies appealing to the masses who are searching for scapegoats for their own failures.\u00a0 These are Bannon\u2019s fans and Trump voters.\u00a0 Donald Trump is the perfect foil for Bannon.\u00a0 Trump is actually weak.\u00a0 He cannot rely on his own intellect or sensitivity to function.\u00a0 Thus, the door opens for Bannon.\u00a0 Using Trump through flattery and most probably lies, Bannon has struck gold.\u00a0 Without a single vote, he has assumed the role of Commander-in-Chief.\u00a0 By creating and supporting Trump\u2019s delusions, Bannon has found someone easily manipulated.\u00a0 But Trump really doesn\u2019t care.\u00a0 He simply wants to assume the throne so he can sign executive orders appearing to be the executive. \u00a0Trump wants to look like a winner.<\/p>\n<p>And what does this say about Trump supporters?\u00a0 I really don\u2019t know.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to understand how they can continue to support someone who is obviously delusional and sick.\u00a0 Who mocks someone who displays emotion?\u00a0 Who mocks the disabled?\u00a0 Only someone who\u2019s own ego is so lacking he must bully others to feel good.\u00a0 Bannon has found this as his vehicle of control over Trump.\u00a0 Bannon knows this works with his Breitbart people.\u00a0 He has successfully transferred the Breitbart philosophy (I use the term loosely here) to the Trump campaign and now the White House.\u00a0 Is anyone out there scared?<\/p>\n<p>Be strong. \u00a0RESIST!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What do Trump and his White House crowd have in common?\u00a0 They are all losers.\u00a0 And that is why Bannon is so dangerous.
